ROB ZOMBIE On Track To Sell 110K Copies First Week; Top 5 Debut Expected
April 4, 2006According to Hits Daily Double, ROB ZOMBIE's latest CD, "Educated Horses", is on track to sell around 110,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at No. 5 on next week's The Billboard 200 chart. The official sales figures and chart positions will be released early Wednesday morning (April 5).
"Educated Horses" is the former WHITE ZOMBIE vocalist's first collection of new music since 2001's "The Sinister Urge", following a break in which he wrote and directed his first two feature films, "House of 1000 Corpses" and "The Devil's Rejects".
The title of the album, "Educated Horses", comes from Zombie's childhood when he used to go on the road with his family, who worked in carnivals that often featured trained animals.
Zombie is currently scripting his next feature film, but has not yet announced what it will be. An animated movie based on his El Superbeasto comic book character is due out sometime later this year.
Zombie is touring in support of "Educated Horses" and performs Tuesday night (April 3) in Toronto, Ontario.
